The conference will be in Bryan/College Station hosted by the Brazos Spinners and Weavers Guild. The conference will be held at the Hilton Hotel in College Station, TX.

A Call for Help:
The Brazos Spinners and Weavers Guild, all twenty of us, will be hosting CHT 2011. We are excited to invite you to enjoy, create and exhibit your "Flights of Fancy". We are a small guild and are counting on YOU, the entire CHT membership to participate in CHT 2011. This can come in all kinds of ways, not the least of which is your attendance. If you have ideas, suggestions on instructors, projects, judges... now is the time to start getting in touch and gearing up. We are asking for the other Guilds of Texas to step up and contribute to their CHT2011.  We have already had commitments from Dallas for table favors for one of the luncheons. We understand that small guilds are limited in their input but now is the time to start preparing.  This help can come in the form of volunteers to help during the actual event, baskets for the highly successful and fun raffles to favors for goody bags and table favors.  To make this the best CHT possible, we need to hear from you. Please let us know what you are panning to do so that we may organize things accordingly.

Call for Instructors
This is a call for instructors for the Contemporary Handweavers of Texas Conference, June 2-5, 2011.  This statewide conference will be held in College Station, Texas at the Hilton Hotel and hosted by the Brazos Spinners and Weavers Guild.

Deadline for Submission is May 1, 2010.

Those instructors interested in participating in CHT2011 are asked to send/email a cover letter to our Education Coordinator, Jan Folse (jcfolse@aol.com).  Submissions can be made by email or regular mail.

The cover letter should contain general information about the instructor’s fiber interests, teaching experience and a website (if they have one). The submission should also include/attach descriptions of the proposed seminars/workshops with name, general description, materials fees, and  required equipment.

Jan will reply to the email/mail as quickly as possible and will inform the instructors of our general payment structure.  We will inform everyone of our decision no later than June 1, 2010.
